Attack Surface Management หรือ ASM คือกระบวนการระบุ วิเคราะห์ และติดตาม สินทรัพย์ขององค์กรที่เปิดเผยต่อภายนอก เช่น เว็บไซต์ โดเมน ซับโดเมน แอปพลิเคชัน API หรือระบบ Cloud ซึ่งอาจกลายเป็นช่องทางให้ผู้ไม่หวังดีใช้โจมตีระบบได้

ระบบ ASM ช่วยให้องค์กรมองเห็น "พื้นที่เสี่ยง" (attack surface) ทั้งหมดที่อาจเป็นจุดอ่อน โดยทำการสแกน วิเคราะห์ และติดตามการเปลี่ยนแปลงของสินทรัพย์เหล่านี้อย่างต่อเนื่อง พร้อมแจ้งเตือนเมื่อพบความผิดปกติ เช่น

• บริการที่เปิดให้เข้าถึงจากอินเทอร์เน็ตโดยไม่ตั้งใจหรือไม่ได้รับอนุญาต
• ช่องโหว่ที่ยังไม่ได้รับการแก้ไขในระบบที่เปิดเผยต่อสาธารณะ
• การตรวจพบโดเมนหรือเว็บไซต์ปลอมที่แอบอ้างชื่อองค์กร
• API ที่รั่วไหล หรือมีการเข้าถึงจากแหล่งที่ไม่สามารถยืนยันตัวตนได้
  
  

ASM จึงเป็นเครื่องมือสำคัญในยุคที่ระบบไอทีขององค์กรกระจายอยู่ทั้งใน on-premises และ cloud โดยช่วยให้ทีมความปลอดภัยสามารถลดความเสี่ยงจากการโจมตี และ ตรวจพบปัญหาได้ก่อนที่ภัยคุกคามจะเกิดขึ้นจริง

Attack Surface Management (ASM) is the process of identifying, analyzing, and monitoring an organization’s externally exposed assets—such as websites, domains, subdomains, applications, APIs, or cloud systems—which could potentially be exploited by malicious actors.

ASM solutions help organizations gain visibility into their entire attack surface, identifying weak points by continuously scanning, analyzing, and monitoring these assets for changes, and issuing alerts when anomalies are detected, such as:

• Services unintentionally or improperly exposed to the internet.
• Unpatched vulnerabilities in public-facing systems.
• Detection of spoofed domains or fake websites impersonating the organization.
